Format
This companion connects a decision to an architecture description. It is an adr.zone adaptation of ISO 42010 vocabulary, not a template prescribed by ISO or evidence that a document conforms to the standard.
Use it when a decision is inseparable from who is affected, which quality concerns drive it, and which view (e.g. deployment, security) must change. For background, read ISO / IEEE 42010 and decisions.
Connect a concern to a decision
- Stakeholder and concern: API owners need faster reads without serving incorrect tenant data.
- Viewpoint and view: a runtime viewpoint defines what to describe; a request-flow view shows the cache and authoritative database.
- Decision and evidence: record the cache policy, link the request-flow diagram, and identify the failure tests that check it.
